Three men working for a private company repairing guardrails are dead after they were hit around 12:45 this morning on I-91 north in West Springfield.
It happened near exit 10A. Two of the victims are from Brockton and the third man from Marlborough.
Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni said the driver of the vehicle involved is 29-year-old Bilal Griffith of West Springfield.
He was taken into custody hours after fleeing the scene on foot.
The DA says "The victims have been identified as Igor Costa, 26, of Marlborough, Massachusetts, Ryan Almeida, 48, of Brockton, Massachusetts, and Raul Bohorquez, 57, of Brockton, Massachusetts.
Charges include three counts of manslaughter.
