An NBA gambling indictment suggests injury information about LeBron James was leaked to bettors.
FBI Director Kash Patel announced charges involving an illegal gambling and sports betting scheme linked to current and former NBA players, coaches, and others.
Miami Heat player Terry Rozier and former coach and player Damon Jones are accused of using inside information to make wagers on games.
The indictment indicates Jones leaked information about the injury status of James to sports bettors before a 2023 game while working for the Lakers.
Portland Trailblazers coach Chauncey Billups was also arrested in the operation in connection with a poker scheme involving the New York mafia.
Billups played for the Celtics in 1997 and 1998.
