Cyclospora cases are at normal seasonal levels in Massachusetts despite growing concern online.
State health officials recorded 18-cases between May 1st and July 1st. Investigators have not identified the source of the national outbreak, although lettuce and salad greens are being examined.
Cape Cod health officials say residents can continue eating locally grown produce while following proper food safety practices.
The state expects to release its next foodborne illness update on August 1st.
