State Lawmakers Want Another Raise

The Massachusetts legislature appears poised to give itself a big raise.

House Speaker Robert DeLeo and Senate President Stanley Rosenberg are proposing a measure to set the annual salaries for legislators at 142-thousand dollars.

That's a 40-percent increase over the current lawmaker salary of 105-thousand dollars.

Both chambers are expected to vote on the plan this week.
