Sanctuary Cities Come Under Fire In Western Mass

Western Massachusetts officials are wondering what's next after President Trump signed an executive order regarding "sanctuary cities" on Wednesday.

The order is aimed at stripping federal money from states and cities that shelter illegal immigrants.

Springfield, Northampton, Amherst and Holyoke have all been called sanctuary cities.

Officials with Catholic Charities, which is helping in the effort to bring dozens of refugees to Northampton this year, says  there are no changes to the refugee plan being made currently.

There are 51 Syrian refugees slated for repatriation in Northampton.  There are expected at any time.
