State Senator Eric Lesser is seeking federal funds for a high-speed rail line between Springfield and Boston.
In a letter to President Donald Trump, Lesser says upgrading existing tracks and building trains for the line would create thousands of manufacturing jobs in Massachusetts.
The Longmeadow Democrat is asking the president to include the project on his list of national priority infrastructure projects.
