Legislature Debating Change In Drunk Driving Law

The Legislature is being urged to pass a bill requiring ignition interlocks.

Massachusetts is the only state in New England that doesn't require the interlocks for all drunk driving offenders.

The state has required the device for repeat offenders since 2006.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving says the in-car breathalyzers are far safer than license suspension alone, which the group says is often ignored.
