Connecticut May Legalize Recreational Pot

The state legislature is holding a  public hearing tomorrow on a bill that would legalize marijuana for  recreational use in Connecticut.

The proposal being considered would  create a state tax for retail sales of marijuana.

Supporters say this  would raise millions of dollars for the state, and stop people from  driving to Massachusetts, where retail sales of pot begin next year.

Tomorrow's hearing is before the legislature's Public Health Committee.
