Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey says President Trump's new executive order on immigration is a watered-down redraft of the ban already rejected by the courts.
The order temporarily bans travel to the United States from six Muslim-majority countries.
The countries affected are Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen. Healey says it's a misguided policy and her office will consider all legal options to protect residents, institutions and businesses in the Commonwealth.
The Governor meantime isn't commenting on the revised travel ban. He says he will continue to study it.
Meantime, the leader of the Western Mass Islamic Society says that there is some small bit of progress made in the ban but there is still a long way to go.
