A medical marijuana company is looking to set up shop in Holyoke on Appleton Street.
The company presented its plans to residents yesterday at a public forum.
GTI Massachusetts held a hearing at the Kelley School to inform the public about its plans and hear concerns.
GTI plans to create up to 100 jobs.
The Holyoke Mayor, Alex Morse says he is on board. But the City Council would have to approve. Some residents say that it would have a negative impact on the city while others say the jobs and tax revenues generated would be helpful.
The City Council has yet to schedule a hearing or a vote on the proposal.
