Winter Hits Again This Week In Western Mass

A coastal storm is quickly heading up the east coast and could impact us big time for Tuesday.

So far, Western Mass News Meteorologist Jana Brown in the WHYN Weather Center says the exact track still has yet to be determined and that could have a baring as to how much snow we are going to get.

Snow should though begin Tuesday morning and become heavy throughout the day and night.

Again it depends on track but 6 inches minimum, which could become a foot or more depending on specific path and duration.

The key is formation of the storm.

If the storm tracks west of Nantucket then the brunt of the snow will fall west of Worcester and impact western Mass.

If the storm tracks east of Nantucket then we could get off the hook --somewhat and the eastern part of the state could be pounded.

We should know more late Sunday night and into Monday what happens.
