City Councilor Wants Changes In Storm Plowing

Springfield  residents and those that represent them on City Council are continuing  to complain about this week's snow cleanup.

Councilor Bud Williams used  the word "deplorable" to describe street conditions during a meeting  yesterday.

Williams also called for an audit of the Springfield  Department of Public Works.

Williams said he received complaints from  all over the city and found streets he said were in unsatisfactory  condition when he toured the Mason Square area of Springfield yesterday.

The Councilor has called a special sub committee hearing for Monday to consider what has been done and what can be done to improve the plowing operation in the future.
