U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren is pledging to push for infrastructure investment in Washington that includes high-speed rail from Springfield to Worcester to Boston.
Warren made those comments during an "office hours" event in Worcester yesterday.
State Senator Eric Lesser has pushed for a feasibility study of the rail connection from Springfield to Boston, but Governor Charlie Baker recently said he wants a broader review of transportation options in the state.
Warren says the prospect of finding common ground with President Trump on infrastructure initially appeared "promising," but says Trump wants tax breaks, not real money being invested into infrastructure projects.
