Northampton Seeks Replacement For "High Five"

Northampton School District officials  are working on a replacement for "High Five Fridays."

The weekly event  featuring police officers high-fiving students was canceled in February  after concerns were brought to school administrators about its  appropriateness.

Northampton Police  Chief Jody Kasper and Superintendent of Schools John Provost indicate they met and are discussing several options for a successor program that  would incorporate all perspectives of the community.

The discussion  will take place over the next two weeks.
