Boston Man Indicted In State Sex Case

A Boston man is being accused of trafficking women as sex workers in Springfield and in several spots in the Boston area.

Hendricks Mario Berdet was indicted by a Massachusetts grand jury last week on charges of human trafficking, rape and witness intimidation.

Attorney General Maura Healey says an investigation revealed Berdet allegedly supplied multiple women with drugs, including heroin and cocaine, in exchange for engaging in commercial sexual activity for his personal profit.

Berdet was originally arrested last month in Medford.
