Springfield's unemployment rate for the month of February is seven-point-three-percent.
Numbers released from the state labor department indicate that rate is up a tenth of a percent from January, but is lower than the eight-point-two-percent unemployment rate from February 2016. '
The report also says the Springfield area had one of the highest totals of month-to-month job losses in Massachusetts last month.
