State Sheriff Wants Arrests For Some Politicians

A Massachusetts sheriff is calling for the arrest of elected officials who allow their communities to become "sanctuary cities" for undocumented immigrants.

Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson made that comment during testimony in Washington before a House subcommittee on Tuesday, calling sanctuary cities extremely dangerous.

Northampton, Amherst, Boston and several other Bay State cities were recently singled out as being uncooperative with federal immigration authorities in a U.S. Department of Homeland Security report.

Governor Charlie Baker, through a spokesperson, disagreed with Hodgson's testimony regarding making arrests of elected officials.
