Western Mass In Flood Watch Thru Thursday

A Flood Watch is in effect for  Franklin, Hampshire and Hampden counties.

The National Weather Service  says unseasonable warmth this week is causing snow melt on the  Connecticut River in Vermont and New Hampshire, which could lead to  minor flooding in Western Massachusetts and parts of Connecticut.

Officials are forecasting the river to reach flood stage locally on  Thursday, impacting low-lying areas.
