Fire danger is being focused on this week in Western Massachusetts.
The National Weather Service says there's an elevated risk for fire weather conditions all week.
A large brush fire burned about twelve acres of land in Southampton on Sunday, and several smaller brush fires were responded to in Agawam.
Restrictions on open burning have been put in place locally, and a full ban on burning is in place in Amherst until conditions improve.
