Senator Says Pot Law Stays Mainly The Same

The state senator chairing the legislature's marijuana committee is focused on ending the black market for the drug.

Senator Patricia Jehlen says the committee will likely leave much of the citizen drafted law unchanged.

She says keeping taxes low and requiring towns to hold referendums to ban retail pot sales should effectively kill the black market.

Jehlen says she is open to raising the tax on marijuana, but not by much.
