A new report indicates that the number of workplace deaths in Massachusetts is at the highest level in a decade.
Seventy people died in workplace related incidents last year.
The Massachusetts Coalition for Occupational Safety and Health says 62 of the deaths were on the job, and the other eight are firefighters who died from job related illnesses.
The statewide work related death rate is two per every 100 thousand employees during the year.
