The Marine who allegedly led police on a chase through West Springfield with pipe bombs in his pickup truck is being ordered to get a mental evaluation.
The order was handed down in Springfield District Court on Tuesday for Robert Decoteau of Russell to be sent to Bridgewater State Hospital.
Decoteau, who is facing two counts of making a false bomb threat and four counts of possession of explosives with intent to injure, is said to suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
No injuries were reported from yesterday's incident.
