Former Boston Bruin Kevin Stevens is avoiding prison time after pleading guilty to federal drug charges.
Prosecutors say Stevens was in possession of 175 pills of oxycodone when he was arrested in 2015.
They allege that Stevens was selling the drug regularly, and the defense says it was because of an addiction that started with an on-ice injury.
Prosecutors asked for a year in prison for the longtime NHL star, but the judge instead sentenced him to probation.
