A two-year-old boy is dead after being struck by a vehicle in the driveway of a rural Worcester County home.
Police say the child was struck at the home on Campbell Avenue in the town of Rutland on Friday.
The child was rushed to the hospital, but officials announced over the weekend that he had passed away.
Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early says the investigation is ongoing, but it appears the death is the result of a tragic accident.
