The Wilbraham Police Department is the latest in Western Massachusetts to have a "safe exchange" location for items purchased online.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the exchange, right outside the police station on Boston Road, is taking place today with a public open house on Saturday.
The Hampden Police Department made a similar announcement last November.
Authorities say meeting up in person to exchange items sold online can result in robbery or worse, when done in a private setting.
