Two healthcare companies are teaming up to bring artificial intelligence into hospital operations.
Partners HealthCare and GE Healthcare announced a ten-year collaboration, which will be executed through the newly formed Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital Center for Clinical Data Science, according to a press release.
The focus will initially be on the development of applications to help improve clinician productivity and patient outcomes in diagnostic imaging, and will eventually include a focus on specialties like molecular pathology, genomics and population health.
Officials are hoping A-I can be used for every step of a patient's journey, starting with the moment they're admitted to the hospital.
