Baystate Joins In Healthcare Suit

Massachusetts  is joining 14 other states in a motion to intervene in a lawsuit filed  by House Republicans.

Critics say it undercuts the affordability of  health insurance plans under the Affordable Care Act.

Attorney General  Maura Healey says the intervention is necessary to protect critical  federal payments that support health care in the states.

She says  despite attempts by the Trump administration and the Republican  Congress, the ACA remains the law of the land.
