A new contract between the City of Springfield and its firefighter union is being announced.
Mayor Domenic Sarno on Tuesday indicates the contract is for three years and will include ten-year residency requirements for all new hires as well as annual two-percent salary increases.
Sarno says the agreement will be brought to City Council for a vote on June 5th.
