The Fourth of July carnival in East Longmeadow that was canceled last week is being brought back quickly.
Town officials were contacted by a Connecticut company on Friday offering to independently put the carnival on, less than 24 hours after it was announced the Jaycees civic organization would no longer be able to run the show.
The company, R.W. Commerford and Sons, has recently provided rides and concessions for the carnival.
Officials said last week that the plans for fireworks and a parade were unaffected.
