Memorial Day observances are taking place across Western Massachusetts today.
Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito and Congressman Richard Neal will be part of a service at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam at 1 p.m.
Parades are scheduled in East Longmeadow, Greenfield, Hadley, Ludlow, Northampton, West Springfield and Westfield.
F-15 flyovers from the 104th Fighter Wing are scheduled for Ludlow, Pepperell, Greenfield, Shrewsbury, Northfield, and Leicester, in addition to eight Connecticut towns.
Parades in both Chicopee and Holyoke have been cancelled because of the weather. Ceremonies are planned for the VFW in Chicopee and the War Memorial in Holyoke.
