Aetna Boss Considers Partial Move To Big Apple

Hartford based Aetna  is reportedly planning to move its headquarters to New York City.

The  initial move will reportedly involve a few hundred top executives being  moved from Hartford to Manhattan.

Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin  says he could tell from  conversations with the company's leadership that the decision to move  its headquarters out of Connecticut had been made a long time ago.

After more than 160 years, Aetna  says it's in talks with multiple states about relocating.

Despite  acknowledging in a statement yesterday that the company is looking to  move, Aetna said it's still committed to its Connecticut-based employees and the Hartford campus.

Aetna chairman and CEO Mark Bertolini has not commented on the potential move.  A spokesman says the decision could be made later this summer.
