New road closures are happening on interstate highways in Springfield this week as part of ongoing repair and resurfacing projects.
MassDOT says Exit 2 from I-291 east will be closed today, and one lane of Exit 8 on I-91 North will be closed starting today until Friday.
Crews finished construction on a portion of I-91 northbound on Friday and opened Exit 9 back up after nearly eight months of being closed.
