A Springfield man is being ordered to serve 15 to 17 years in state prison for the rape of a child.
Forty-five-year-old Carlos Rivera has been sentenced in Hampden Superior Court after a jury found him guilty on two counts of the charge last week.
The case involved a male victim in the care of Rivera who was six-years-old when the incidents started, and continued for nearly a decade, up until 2009.
The victim, who is now an adult, testified in the trial.
