A police-brutality lawsuit is being settled in Springfield.
Justin Douglas, a convicted jewel thief and firearm trafficker, will be paid 60-thousand-dollars by the city and state.
Douglas filed litigation in federal court three years ago after he was arrested in 2012 and claimed he was pistol-whipped by a group of officers.
The city earlier this year was ordered to pay one-and-a-half-million-dollars to Charles Wilhite after a wrongful imprisonment and police misconduct complaint was filed.
