An Attleboro police officer is injured after fighting with a man trying to carjack his vehicle.
Officer Joseph Daday was first to respond to a call about a man trying to enter vehicles on County Street yesterday.
Cristofer Veloz allegedly attacked when the officer arrived, and Daday fought with the suspect as the cruiser accelerated into a utility pole.
Daday suffered a broken ankle and severe cuts after a door slammed on his leg during the attack.
