Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey is leading a multi-state lawsuit against U.S. Education Secretary Betsy DeVos.
The suit claims that DeVos abandoned critical protections for students from abuse by predatory for-profit schools.
Healey says DeVos has repeatedly sided with for-profit school executives against students and families drowning in unaffordable student loans.
She says abandoning student protections is a betrayal of her office and a violation of federal law.
