Unemployment information for the city of Springfield for June of 2017 is being released.
The Massachusetts Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development says the rate rose to eight-point-three percent last month, up from seven-point-six percent from the month of May and seven-point-five percent from June 2016.
The greater Springfield area lost 18-hundred jobs last month, but gained five-thousand jobs over the year.
