Long time Springfield City Councilor Tim Rooke says he is not running for re-election.
The veteran councilor made his intentions known as the deadline for nomination papers was approaching.
The longtime councilor was monumental in insuring that the city continued to be financially responsible and was always known for well researched points of view.
In an related note, Bud Williams, the Springfield City Councilor and State Rep says he will not run for re-election to the Springfield City Council, devoting all of his time to State Rep business.
