Sexual assault victims of former priest Paul Shanley are criticizing his expected release from prison today.
Shanley has completed his 12-year prison term for raping a young boy in the 1980s.
However, there are scores of people who say they were assaulted by Shanley, and many gathered yesterday to speak out against his release.
They say there should be a system where dangerous predators can be civilly committed when their prison terms are complete.
Officials have not said who he will be released to or where he will go.
Shanley is 86 and the state says that he is no longer a sexual danger to the public.
