Officials at an Easthampton school are naming a former headmaster in a sexual misconduct investigation.
A letter sent this week to the Williston Northampton School community references Robert Ward, who served in the position from 1972 to 1979, as a subject of credible reports.
Ward was named in a separate letter from Loomis Chaffee, a private school in Connecticut, earlier this year, prompting Williston officials to look into the matter. Ward died in 1986.
