State Showing Some Progress On Opioids

State officials are reporting some  encouraging news related to the ongoing opioid overdose crisis.

Officials say deadly overdoses have declined so far in parts of Eastern  Massachusetts this year.

Unattended opioid deaths are down 14-percent  in Middlesex County, and are down nine-percent in Norfolk County.

Just  under two thousand people died from overdoses last year.
