Tax Holiday Not Likely In State

There will be no sales tax holiday this year in Massachusetts.

Lawmakers say there was no interest in going in that direction because the state budget was teetering.

Connecticut, which has a 5 billion dollar deficit to deal with and no budget will have its annual, permanent sales tax holiday on Back to School items next weekend.

That is expected to cost the that state 4 million dollars.
