Dreamers Up Front In Congress

Former President Obama says it makes  no sense to expel "Dreamers."

In a statement posted on Facebook  yesterday, Obama criticized the Trump administration's decision to  rescind DACA, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals-program.

DACA  shields about 800-thousand undocumented "Dreamers" who were brought into  the U.S. as children.

Obama called it an issue of basic decency.

He  said "Dreamers" were brought to America by their parents, sometimes even  as infants.

Obama approved DACA in an executive action in 2012.

Meantime. the Roman Catholic Bishop of Springfield, Mitchell Rozanski says that he hopes Congress and the President can come together to return DACA in a constitutional manner.
