The search of a four-month-old puppy stolen from Dakin Humane Society is over.
Just one day after Springfield Police asked the public to help find Poppy the Miniature Pinscher, she has been returned.
Video surveillance showed a middle-aged man and woman stealing the dog from the shelter last week.
The humane society says Poppy isn't ready for adoption yet, but she's getting plenty of love and attention.
Officials are short on details as to how the puppy was returned. The only thing they are saying is that the police investigation is continuing.
