A man is under arrest in connection to a hit-and-run incident that left a law enforcement officer injured.
Chicopee police say an officer was trying to execute a search warrant on Thursday when the suspect fled the scene, hitting an officer in the street and striking a cruiser on Nonotuck Avenue at around 6:30 p.m.
After the collision, the man, who isn't being identified right now, reportedly fled on foot and was eventually tracked down to a vacant home.
The officer who was hit suffered minor injuries, according to police.
