Holyoke Police and the District Attorney are investigating a murder -suicide at 598 Dwight Street this afternoon.
Police say a man shot an elderly woman in a common area of the apartment complex.
That woman was rushed to the hospital and later died.
The man, according to officials then went to the fifth floor roof of the complex and apparently took his own life.
The DA and police continue to try to figure out why it all went down this way. They have not speculated as to why.
