A spa in Northampton is closed after a weeks-long investigation into alleged improper labor practices.
The Northampton Police Department says the Asian Foot Spa on Locust Street had employees living at the business, had been servicing a large amount of male customers, and had unlicensed employees.
In a statement, the police department said it is committed to identifying and preventing human trafficking.
The spa was condemned by the city's board of health and the state's professional licensing division.
