The People Speak - Results Are In

The Voters have spoken in races throughout the state sending back to office most incumbents. 

Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and Worcester Mayor Joe Petty big winners.  

Details on the races in western and central mass coming up.  

In Springfield, incumbent ward city councilors all win re-election.  Winning at large seats are Jesse Ledderman and former City Councilor Tim Ryan, the son of the former Springfield Mayor Charlie Ryan.  In Springfield a nearly 10 per cent turnout.

In Agawam, William Sapelli, the former School Superintendent beats the City Council President Jim Cicchetti.  Sapelli took more than 65 per cent of the vote.  Also, in Agawam Richard Cohen was trying to win a seat on the city council.  The former mayor however did not make the cut.

In Holyoke where 31 per cent of the voters turned out, Alex Morse wins re-election.   But incumbents Howard Greaney and Diosadado Lopez ousted in at large races.  Voters reducing the size of the at large field in a previous vote.

David Narkewicz returns to the Mayor's office in Northampton.In Easthampton, 

Nicole LaChapelle wins the mayor's office.In Greenfield, residents endorsing a tax on pot in their community.

In Westfield, the Mayor's Term will remain at 2 years.  Voters had considered a 4 year term.
