Governor Attacks Opioid Crisis

Governor Charlie Baker is increasing  the state's battle against the opioid epidemic.

Baker yesterday  announced a sweeping package designed to help the state address the  growing opioid addiction problem.

The proposal includes efforts to  provide higher quality addiction treatment.

It would also allow doctors  to involuntarily commit opioid addicted patients to a treatment  facility for up to 72 hours.
