Governor Gets Bill To Benefit Western Mass

A couple of bills heading to Governor  Charlie Baker's desk are relevant to Western Massachusetts.

A 244-million-dollar bond bill passed by the Legislature on  Wednesday includes 45-million dollars for the expansion of broadband  internet locally.

Another bill, passed by lawmakers in the final days  of the most recent legislative session, would require the commonwealth  to look at the needs of the Holyoke Soldiers' Home on a long-term  basis.
